Unlawful Parking and Vehicles Left on Streets
Title 6, Chapter 1, 6-1-3. D. Unlawful Parking.
1. Vehicles For Sale:
a. No vehicle shall be left standing, stopped or parked on any public roadway or other public property
within the city of Hurricane for the principal purpose of advertising the sale of said vehicle; and
b. No vehicle shall be left standing, stopped, or parked on any private property for the principal purpose of
advertising the sale of said vehicle, except: 1) in any licensed auto sales lot, or 2) where the owner of the
private property has given his consent and no more than two (2) vehicles at any given time are left so standing,
stopped or parked on such property for said purpose.
Title 6, Chapter 1, 6-1-6. Vehicles Left On Streets
A. It shall be a violation of this chapter to leave any nonmotorized vehicle, recreational vehicle, off highway vehicle, farm equipment, unmounted or unattached camper, boat, utility trailer, camper trailer, or any other type of trailer or any inoperable vehicle parked, placed, stored, abandoned, or otherwise left on any public street, alley, sidewalk, park strip, or right of way at any time. Parking a Motorized Vehicle on the Street

C. No Parking: It shall be an infraction to park or leave standing at any time a vehicle, as defined in the traffic code, as adopted by this city, except when necessary to avoid interference with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control device.
Strictly speaking, no vehicle can be left on the street for any period of time. The Hurricane police rely on the Utah State ordinance, which states that any vehicle left on the street for 48 hours is considered abandoned and must be moved.
Utah State Code, 41-6a-1408. Abandoned vehicles -- Removal by peace officer -- Report -- Vehicle identification.
(1) As used in this section, "abandoned vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor" means a vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor that is left unattended:
(a) on a highway or on or in the waters of the state for a period in excess of 48 hours; or
(b) on public or private property for a period in excess of seven days without express or implied consent of the owner or person in lawful possession or control of the property.
(2) A person may not abandon a vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor on a highway or on or in the waters of the state.
(3) A person may not abandon a vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor on public or private property without the express or implied consent of the owner or person in lawful possession or control of the property.
(4) A peace officer who has reasonable grounds to believe that a vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor has been abandoned may remove the vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor or cause it to be removed in accordance with Section 41-6a-1406 or 73-18-20.1.
(5) If the motor number, manufacturer's number or identification mark of the abandoned vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor has been defaced, altered or obliterated, the vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor may not be released or sold until:
(a) the original motor number, manufacturer's number or identification mark has been replaced; or
(b) a new number assigned by the Motor Vehicle Division has been stamped on the vehicle, vessel, or outboard motor.
(6) A violation of this section is an infraction.
Excessive Noise
4-9-1: Prohobition of Excessive Noise:
You cannot make noise that “unreasonably disturbs or interferes with the peace, quiet, comfort or repose of any person of average or reasonable sensitivities in his dwelling”. Examples include: honking of horns; playing of loud music; barking dogs; fighting, yelling, shouting or loud laughter. (Ord. 2017-04, 2-2-2017)
Nightly Rentals

If you have problems with a nightly rental, document the issue with the date and time, details of what happened and picture if possible. Living in an RV on a Residential Lot

No manufactured/mobile home or recreational vehicle shall be used or occupied except within an approved manufactured/mobile home park or subdivision, or recreational vehicle park, or as specifically provided by a provision of this chapter or this title. Such requirements shall not be construed to prohibit or limit other applicable provisions of this title, this code, or other laws.
C. Location Of An Occupied Recreational Vehicle: No occupied recreational vehicle shall be located anywhere within the city except as follows: 1. Within a: a. Recreational vehicle park; b. Manufactured/mobile home park, subject to the requirements of subsection 10-43-6A2b of this chapter; or c. Designated camping area; and 2. As a dwelling for members of an immediate family (parents, children, brothers, or sisters), subject to the requirements of section 10-43-4 of this chapter. 3. This section shall not be construed to prohibit the occupation of a recreational vehicle by visitors to occupants of a single-family residential lot improved with one single-family residence for a time not exceeding two (2) weeks (14 days) in any ninety (90) day period.
